At this point, the plant will be slightly above 10 – 12 inches. After that they will instead start to grow below the soil, the roots will continue to expand and be more able to drain nutrition from the soil.

Do All Strawberry Plants Climb
Strawberry plants don’t climb at all actually. They will instead grow like a small bush in the same place. So don’t worry if you have any structure next to the strawberry plant. They won’t start climbing on it at all.
The strawberry plant will instead grow almost like a soccer ball and max out at 10 – 12 inches tall. At this point, the plant is probably somewhere around 3 – 5 years old in total. After that, the plant will instead start to grow the roots instead.

Where Do Strawberries Grow On
Strawberries will start to grow on paper if you are sprouting them from a small seed. But after that, they will want to grow in good soil with plenty of nutrition in it. The soil also needs to be well draining to not risk the plant starting to drown.
The plant will want a spot in your garden or house where it can get at least 8 – 10 hours of sunlight every day. This way the plant can start to perform photosynthesis every day and generate energy for the rest of the plant.
We find that keeping the soil slightly damp all the time is the ideal condition that the plant will want to grow in. Beware of watering too much, however. That will later show up as the leaves turn brown and black.
