Rubber Plant White Dots
As we said at the beginning of the article here already, the rubber plant has something which is called lithocysts in it. That’s something that can be found in basically all varieties of this plant.
It’s unknown what makes it trigger to produce calcium carbonate. That’s the compound that appears as the white spots or dots. Completely harmless really. It might be that the trigger is something like a lack of water or lack of sunlight. If that’s something that might be possible then have a look and see if they could be fixed.
It should however be mentioned as well that there is a possibility that the plant instead is under attack by a mold. This isn’t completely out of order. Powdery mildew is one of the most common types of mold which can grow on more or less all plants.
The look of the leaf however will be pretty different instead. The plant will begin to smell as well as wilting and looking poorly. If that starts to happen then it’s a big chance there is mold growing on it. In that case, it’s recommended to simply remove the leaves affected. With some luck that will help mitigate the future spread of the mold on the rest of the plant.

How Do You Get Rid Of Fungus On Rubber Plants
Getting rid of fungus growing on your rubber plant is not that difficult really. It’s most likely something called powdery mildew. A quite common type of mold found on more or less all plants. It can be easily gotten rid of.
The result will be small white spots or dots appearing on parts of the plant. Hopefully, you are able to see them really quickly and therefore can act really quickly too. The best idea is to simply take the leaves which have been affected and cut them off. That will help keep the mold from spreading to other parts of the plant.

Red Spots On Rubber Plant
Red spots on your rubber plant can be from it being exposed to too much sunlight for a prolonged period. It causes the leaves to blister or be sunburnt. That means the leaves aren’t able to perform photosynthesis anymore from those areas of the plant.
It’s often recommended to simply remove those leaves and let new ones grow forth instead. That will help the plant immensely most likely. As the dying leaves cause stress. It’s sort of like ripping the bandaid off straight away to hopefully have a quicker recovery.
